How To Add More Grounding Energy Work During The Holidays 

The holiday season can be one of the most stressful (& exciting) times of the year. From traveling, hosting, shopping, etc., the key to allowing the stress to roll off your body is grounding your energy. 

The holiday season can be one of the most stressful (& exciting) times of the year. From traveling, hosting, shopping, etc., the key to allowing the stress to roll off your body is grounding your energy. 

Grounding is one of the first things people learn about when it comes to doing energy work. The reason is when you feel safe in your body & confident in your body, that is when your intuition opens up. 

Intuition aside, this same concept can be applied to the holiday season when we all feel ungrounded. Your daily activities are disrupted as you travel, shop, cook, & host multiple people. It may be exciting if this is something you’re into, but stressful either way!

By grounding your energy, you bring yourself back to the present moment. 

The way you can tell you’re unground is:

  • You feel disconnected from your body.
  • You feel stressed, overwhelmed, and/or frazzled.
  • You don’t see the pleasure in the activities you do.
  • Your digestion is off (i.e., indigestion, gas, constipation).
  • You may experience some lower back pain or in the extremities.

These are all signs of your root chakra needing some TLC, too, because grounding yourself is how you balance your root chakra. 

On the flip side, this is what it feels like to be grounded:

  • You feel safe in your body.
  • You can move through any emotions with ease.
  • You live in pleasure & purpose no matter the task.
  • Your digestion flows (i.e., daily bowel movements).
  • You’re in the present moment. 

By grounding your energy, you bring yourself back to the present moment. 

And I can be bet you that during the holidays you feel more like the latter, ungrounded. But rather than seeing it as a negative thing, take it as an opportunity to shift.

If the answer is yes, you keep doing you, but if it is a no, you can shift your energy because you are the co-creator of your reality. 

With this holiday season, I want you to decide how do you want it to go? How do you want it to feel? Once you are clear on that, you have an archer. So when it gets crazy or stressful, you can come back to that feeling & intention. 

But before I leave you, I want to share a way you can ground no matter where you are. This is something I do with all my clients & let me tell you, it works like a gem every time!

Take a moment to sit down in a comfortable position & close your eyes.

Take a few deep belly breaths to settle into your body. 

Once comfortable, visualize in your mind’s eye roots extending from your root chakra.

Visualize moving through the foundation of your home & into the crust of the Earth, moving deeper & deeper until it hits the core of Mother Earth.

Every time you inhale, visualize a white light coming up through the roots & into your body, grounding you to the present moment. 

And every time you exhale, you release what no longer serves you to Mother Earth to be transmuted. 

Move through this for as long as you want & once you are ready to move on, give gratitude to Mother Earth & know you always have access to this energy.
