Acupuncture and Seasonal Allergies

Have you considered Acupuncture to combat seasonal allergies

Summer is here, if you’re in the midwest like myself, this time of year is treasured with warm sunny days, and longer days. However- for some of us with the seasons changing mean seasonal allergies, watery eyes, stuffy noses, we are hitting the isles at your local drugstore to help combat the symptoms- but have you considered acupuncture to help alleviate symptoms?

Acupuncture reduces inflammation in the body which elevates allergic symptoms

Chinese medicine can complement our western philosophies and help alleviate many ailments that we would typically seek help with over-the-counter products and supplements. My suggestion would be to be pair acupuncture with an herbal supplement such as stinging nettle or bromelain from your local health food store to avoid the traditional over the counter products that may cause drowsiness, and of course with any type of supplements I always recommend speaking to a health care provider prior to using!

Below is a quick list of seven symptoms related to hay fever, asthma and eczema

  • Runny eyes
  • Stuffy nose
  • Post nasal drip
  • Sore throat
  • Cough
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
